Spreading and receiving God's Love throughout the Heart of Africa

OUR HOPE AND PRAYER

We often hear about a person’s or organization’s vision or dream. They both certainly have merit. They wouldn’t be used if they weren’t somehow effective in helping describe what is envisioned for the future.

We decided to use the words hope and prayers instead, for a few reasons. One is that the word ‘hope’ is used over 150 times in the Bible, while ‘pray’ is used over 500 times. Vision and dream are also used but only in the literal sense. Two, we feel that hope acknowledges the fact that no matter how well we might envision our future it isn’t solely reliant on us. It is also reliant on God’s grace and mercy. Three, it allows us to focus more on the present and what we are doing in the moment, trusting that what we are doing will lead us to having the type of impact in the community that we are meant to have. Lastly, we know that our mission, in order to have its maximum impact, will take more than just our lifetimes for it to succeed.

So what is our hope and prayer?

Our  hope and prayer is that what we are doing is what we are supposed to be doing in the community we impact. It is said that we can do more harm while intending to do good then if we knowingly try to do harm. We hope and pray that we remain mindful of what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how we are going about doing it.

We hope and pray that we will continue to be given the strength, courage, and guidance that is needed to manifest our mission for as long as we live.

We hope and pray that we will continue to have the means necessary to support the people we interact with, and when that is not sufficient that the support will come through other means and other people.

We hope and pray that the work of the Foundation and the media it produces will help inspire others to visit Rwanda and see the beauty of the country, and the people, for themselves.

We hope and pray that those who choose to visit Rwanda will spend time alongside us and see the presence of God in the people we spend time with, as well as themselves.

We hope and pray that we help inspire others to explore and find their own way of spreading and receiving God’s love, whether it be here or in their own communities.

Lastly, we hope and pray that we will continue to cross paths with others who desire to work alongside us, allowing us to grow and increase the impact we have in the community.
